Real Property:  Homeowners insurance gives you peace of mind.  Your house and separate structures are covered for almost any kind of damage except common exclusions such as wear and tear, earth movement, earthquake, flood, nuclear hazard and certain business activities.  Separate structures are covered at 10 percent of your home insurance coverage.  Extended Replacement Cost (of up to 150 percent of dwelling coverage) is available.

Personal Property:  This insurance coverage protects your contents or personal belongings anywhere in the world.  Contents Replacement extends coverage to include the cost of repair or replacement without the deduction for depreciation.

Loss of Use/Additional Coverages: If you can’t live in your house after a covered loss, this part of your home insurance coverage takes care of the additional cost of living such as staying in a hotel, the cost of meals, doing laundry, etc.

Personal Liability: In the event someone is injured on your property or you damage property that belongs to others, you could be held legally liable for the injury or damage.  This home insurance coverage provides liability and personal property insurance to financially protect you should this ever occur.

Guest Medical: This part of your home insurance pays medical expenses of others injured at your home, regardless of who is at fault.

Optional Homeowners Coverage:  These are recommended insurance coverages for homeowners to help protect additional areas of your home or items that may not be covered by the basic homeowners insurance. Sewer and drain coverage for your basement, earthquake coverage, business use, and coverage for your valuables such as jewelry, silver, furs, guns and art can be added to your policy to protect more of your assets.
